We Were On Holiday

We Were On Holiday focuses on the act of celebration for the picture-taking moment.  It serves as an artifact of anticipated nostalgia in the moment of photographing.  The photographer and subjects are at once exalting the present while preparing for it to end.  The fickle color control in the gum bichromate process resonates with the imbalanced hues of the Kodak candid aesthetic. All photos are appropriated from inherited family albums.
